June Advice to Charles Eliot Norton on subdivision into lots and street connections of property near Harvard University. . At this time a strong friendship was formed between the Norton and Olmsted families, and Mr. Olmsted's visits to the Nortons were among the few personal visits he made.

Late Moved to house at 209 West 46th Street, permanent Fall residence and office until 1883 .

Dec. 13 Report to Massachusetts General Hospital on sites for its "Retreat for the Insane."
